Steps To Reproduce

When I open Bitwarden on Android (Android 16 with latest October Update) on my Pixel 9a the following popup shows up from time to time (but not always):

"Enable Browser Autofill to keep filling passwords".

Note:
Auto-fill Service is active
Use Chrome auto-fill service is active
Use accessibility is active

Chrome / Android is configured to use Bitwarden as "Auto-fill service".

I switched forth and back between "Bitwarden and Google Auto-fill service", I cleared the cache of Bitwarden and Chrome, but no luck the popup shows up from time to time, when it shows up auto-fill is not working (I can select a user/pwd from an input field, but neither the user nor the password field is filled with the selected entry).

Deactivate "use chrome auto-fill service" and enable it again makes auto-fill working again for some time and the popup does not show up.

Any help would highly be appreciated.

Br

Expected Result

No popup should be shown when the corresponding setting is set and auto-fill should work.

Actual Result

The popup is shown from time to time and auto-fill is not working.

Another user here. - Did you try to enable the following Chrome flag (via chrome://flags): #autofill-update-context-for-web-contents ?! (This is a proposed fix for an upstream Chrome/Chromium issue.)

I will definitely try to enable the chrome flag and give it a try, thank you very much 👍

After I enabled the flag mentioned by @pamperer562580892423 the popup still shows up from time to time, but auto-fill is now still working. So it seems the main problem is fixed, but the popup is still quite annoying/confusing.

Hello @rizi, could you confirm if you also have the Chrome Beta or Brave browser also installed on your device?

Thank you for your response. Within the Bitwarden app, could you navigate to Settings > Autofill and confirm the status of the "Use Brave autofill integration" toggle? The prompt you mentioned seeing will continue to show if any installed browsers that support autofill integration are not enabled. Please see the attached screenshot for reference.

My settings looking exactly like yours.

@lukus-livefront you mean I have to toggle it on for Brave as well, am I right?

@rizi That is correct. All browser integration toggles must be enabled for the pop up to stop showing on your vault screen.

Sorry, for the confusion, now that you mentioned it, it makes absolutely sense.

All browser integration toggles must be enabled for the pop up to stop showing on your vault screen.

It is somewhat logical - but maybe the popup should contain the info that it only will vanish when all integrations are enabled. (as I can imagine that some people also just want some additional browsers for testing purposes - or whatever - and might not think of toggling all browser integrations simultaneously)
