This is a difficult one - we have deliberately not rendered these messages to prevent them being distracting on the newsfeed. This would require a sort of partial render I guess?

I think the expectance is they render the same as on the repo pages.

Ideally, I think commit title/message renderers could be abstracted to one shared function that is shared between renderings like on frontpage or actual repo page.

Also related, full URLs should also abbreviate to a #1 link in the feed (the white link color is a separate bug):

Different rendering context has different rendering behaviors.

Some contexts renders the "short patterns", some others don't.
