Project Description
I created a Python tool to address the absence of native functionality in Jellyfin for exporting image metadata. Jellyfin Image Exporter enables users to extract all image metadata from the server's metadata directory for the library types Series and Movies. The tool supports both interactive and automated workflows, allowing users to export images into subfolders that accurately reflect the Jellyfin metadata structure or place them directly into library folders as needed.
It is designed for easy CLI usage and also supports automation, making it simple to back up or reorganize artwork outside of Jellyfin, especially since Jellyfin does not provide a built-in way to export images back into the folders if the "Save images to folders" option is enabled after they have already been fetched.
Short Description
Export images from Jellyfin metadata into folders that precisely mirror the library's structure or directly into the library.
