Verified issue does not already exist?

  • I have searched and found no existing issue

What happened?

I live in a country where the default separator for decimal places is the comma, and in my Actual Budget settings I chose the appropriate formatting to reflect this behavior

I would expect this setting affected also goal templates; however if I set a template for example of €7,50 it does not get recognised.

How can we reproduce the issue?

Change the setting for number formatting to something with a comma separator for decimal digits.

Set a template for a category using comma as a separator for decimal digits, for example 7,50.

When checking templates, you get an interpreting error.

Where are you hosting Actual?

Pikapods

What browsers are you seeing the problem on?

Microsoft Edge

Operating System

Windows 11

@youngcw commented on GitHub (Apr 5, 2025):

Only decimal dot is supported. This is stated in the documentation. Other formats will be supported once a GUI for templates is added
