💻

  • Would you like to implement this feature?

Pitch: what problem are you trying to solve?

I'm not a very bright person when it comes to budgets, all of them are confusing and convoluted, even this one.

A common problem I have with all budgeting apps is there is no way to sort the transaction order. I may place a transaction for 1/15 and it might not clear until 1/20. Running Balances no longer match bank, I may see a (way far out example) 2365.34 balance available while only having 12354.50 in my account. While I can do math to figure things out, we shouldn't have to. It would be great to be able to drag and drop or set a transaction order. Ensuring that all pennies are accounted without the guesswork, this maximizing budget usability, without having to import the transactions from bank.

Describe your ideal solution to this problem

Drag and drop the transactions? or add a way to sort them by transaction order in the date, so that transactions match bank ledger, therefor so does the money.

Teaching and learning

Highlight the usefulness and effectiveness of being able to match running balance in ActualBudget withyour banks Running Budget without guesswork... of which there is still a lot of.
