Verified feature request does not already exist?

  • I have searched and found no existing issue

💻

  • Would you like to implement this feature?

Pitch: what problem are you trying to solve?

When you hide a category group, all the categories in that group are effectively hidden. But they are not rendered as hidden in the budget UIs so it is easy to overlook that they are really hidden.

Describe your ideal solution to this problem

The budget UI should dim them all to indicate that.

And if the group is already hidden, I am not sure the 'hide' option in the menu for individual categories makes sense. Otherwise, you might try to 'show' one of the categories later, but really it is still hidden (by its group).

Teaching and learning

Nothing.
