Hi Matt!

Sorry, first time using GitHub errors like this so I didn't know what
carried over from the error code etc.

My husband and I are using the same account (same login) to categorise line
items and we're encountering sync issues in various scenarios: creating
rules, setting categories, making tags, etc.

I think we still need to figure out how to create multiple logins, but were
just seeing what we could get away with. The sync issue persisted through
logging out, deleting cache, and trying other browsers until we were able
to reset the sync for my login but done on my husband's view of the
account. My husband never had issues throughout this process and could see
all the work I was doing, but I couldn't see his.

I'm not the primary person setting this service up for us, so I'm not sure
if these are the relevant details. I can ask him if you need more specifics
and send them along.

Hope this helps!

Cheers,
Alex

I was getting sync errors with server after importing transaction from csv as well. Went away after resetting sync. Can try to reproduce.

Hi I'm also having issues with synching imported finance file to the cloud.

First I export the zip file with db and metadata, then import back and get the message "This File is not a Cloud File". I click on register but keeps coming back without sync. I did export to modify transfers, zip the files back then import. also tried to import the original exported zip, same thing. tried Firefox and Safari, using Nginx-proxy.

can I manually replace the .sqlite file on the server? lets say I create new blank finances file then shutdown server and replace .sqlite keeping file name the same.

btw I went back to version 25.8.0 of app and server, tested export and import and syncs ok.

For some weird reason my laptop's date and time was incorrect. could that have caused the sync issue? Its working again now after changing date and time

That could be it, the timestamps it was looking for might have been invalid/wrong

I did more testing, for me the sync issue seems to be related to file size or number of transactions. if I import a csv file with 1848 transactions size 147 kb I get sync error and have to reset sync. smaller amount of transactions sync ok.

importing from previous export seems similar. if I export with one account I can import and it uploads to server ok. if its more accounts and transactions it fails to upload to server. the zip is 2.2 MB (with db.sqlite file inside about 14.2 MB) which is below default 20 MB limit. I increased upload limits to 100 MB but no difference.

I'm using docker image on local server, how can I see more info/logging? I added DEBUG env variable with actual:config value but don't see change.

/sync/upload-user-file is still returning a 413 (content too large) error, the root cause is still the file size.

Are there any logs from the docker side that could be useful?

Thanks for your help, hopefully https://github.com/actualbudget/actual/pull/5779 should fix it.
