What happened?

On Windows, when setting the theme to 'System default' in the settings, and the default is Light, Actual treats it as if it were dark, and the new colored tags introduced with 2025.08 are too vividly colored to be legible.

Example, compared with the unedited tag in the second row:

Manually switching the theme to Light fixes this.

How can we reproduce the issue?

In Settings, switch Theme to "System default", making sure the OS system default is Light.
Then go to the Tags settings and select any background color.

Where are you hosting Actual?

Docker

What browsers are you seeing the problem on?

Microsoft Edge
