Verified feature request does not already exist?

  • I have searched and found no existing issue

💻

  • Would you like to implement this feature?

Pitch: what problem are you trying to solve?

Hi
I have a budget for Christmas. I want to put 120€ in this budget by December 2025 and I want to be able to spend along the way from September 2025.

However, if there’s money left in this category from 2024, I don’t want to count this in the 2025 budget.

Describe your ideal solution to this problem

My ideal solution will be something like :

#template up to 120 hold by 2025-12 spend from 2025-09 repeat every year

but Actual say that this template isn’t right. I tried every combinations I can think of but no luck.

I understand the « up to » can’t be use with « by ». Maybe only allow « hold » to be use with « by » to allow to keep leftovers.
