In case we do want this:

If the list has a color this could be defined by that color. E.g. if the list color is green the background could be a very light green (or very dark). Basically the normal Vikunja background color with a second layer that is 95% transparent and has the list color.

I wouldn't let the user choose a second color for the background in order to prevent confusion with the actual list color.
