In the Upcoming view the Button "Today" just puts the filter from "now" until "now+24" hours.

Can we get a real "Today" button where the end of the current day is applied?

Good idea!

One addition could be to make the midnight "configurable".
I find myself often planning the "next day" after midnight and hate it when tasks of that day already appear even though I didn't go to bed yet.

Probably default is "next day 00:00" and then you can configure an offset (+x).

Would love to say yes but currently the switch to vue 3 and implementing the dark mode is craving a large chunk of our attention.

After those are finished there will be more time to focus on new features / changing behavior like this =)

Maybe, new features more important for current and future users than underground work for long period of time...

@kergma-lw It's all about maintaining the software at the end. Vue 3 will make things easier in the future.

If you really need the feature, you can either implement it yourself and send a PR or place a bounty on it. We're all doing this in our free time.
