Additional Context

Clients experiencing issue were previously syncing correctly. Unclear what changed (no edits to vaultwarden config or client configs).

Additional troubleshooting: was able to successfully set up and sync Firefox extension and desktop client within a windows VM, os it appears to somehow be isolated to those running on MacOS.

May be related to #6605, but appears to be a different configuration, hence the separate issue.

Solved!

The hint was that other clients (Android/Windows) functioned correctly - so it had something to do with the MacOS environment - not Vaultwarden itself.

In MacOS, local network access is controlled on a per-app basis under: Settings->Privacy & Security -> Local Network. There, (in my case), Firefox's toggle had been switched off for some reason.

Bitwarden was completely absent, and would not prompt for permissions despite uninstalling and reinstalling. The solution was to fully reset the local network permissions via the instructions here. Bitwarden still does not appear in the permissions list, but deleting the file and rebooting has allowed bitwarden to talk to the local network again.

Hello. The iOS client stopped syncing. Perhaps I changed ports somehow, but I couldn't find a way to quickly view the current iOS settings and compare them. Now only the web version works.
