Expected Behavior

OAuth access token should refresh properly.

Actual Behavior

When the token is near expiry and should be refreshed, you get a chat bubble stating 'coroutine' object has no attribute 'get'.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Have oauth enabled (Microsoft in my case)
  2. Wait for your oauth token to reach expiry
  3. Type in a conversation
  4. Receive coroutine error

Required Changes:

  1. oauth.py:160 - Change def get_oauth_token( to async def get_oauth_token(
  2. oauth.py:189 - Change refreshed_token = self._refresh_token(session) to refreshed_token = await self._refresh_token(session)
  3. Update all callers - Add await to all get_oauth_token() calls

Discovered an upstream issue with _perform_token_refresh after my testing.

oauth.py Line 257: async with session_http.get(client.gserver_metadata_url) as r:

The gserver_metadata_url is a typo. However, assuming it's meant to be server_metadata_url, it's inaccessible:

Potential fix would be:

            token_endpoint = None

                if metadata:
                    token_endpoint = metadata.get("token_endpoint")
                    if token_endpoint:
                        log.debug(f"Retrieved token endpoint for provider {provider}: {token_endpoint}")
            except Exception as e:
                log.error(f"Failed to load server metadata for provider {provider}: {e}")

Also, for Microsoft providers the refresh_data is missing the "scope" parameter.

                refresh_data["scope"] = str(MICROSOFT_OAUTH_SCOPE)

If scope is missing from the refresh token request the user will get this error:
