Changelog Entry

Description

  • I added a slim image that would be created. It cuts out all AI models from the image itself, reducing the image size by nearly 1GB (0.93GB/ 27% of image size). This is important for my use case, and allows the image to be pulled faster so that when my cluster scales up the new nodes are online faster. Pulling the image is a very significant portion of the startup time so this is important.

Added

  • A USE_SLIM argument in the dockerfile that removes all AI models from being downloaded in the image.
  • A new slim image in the github workflow that enables the USE_SLIM argument in the docker build.

Breaking Changes

Ideally none, I believe all current users should not be affected.
Users that switch to the slim image from the normal image may face breaking bugs. I am unaware of the full effects of my change.
