I have searched the existing issues and discussions.

Problem Description

This feature alone can make Channels usable since basic chat functionality is already present within channels as well as notifications but core usability is weak and non-comparable to any simple chat application

Let's see the workflow:

New Channel
Add User to Channel
When a new message arrives within a Channel, a notification appears
Switch tabs to Open WebUI... And I can't seem to find what the notification is about

This is the core issue. If I had multiple channels or chats I wouldn't know which one created the notification

Desired Solution you'd like

A simple • as a prefix and/or Bold within any chat or channel with an "unread" status

This is a very simple and quick win for anyone looking to create their first PR
