I have searched the existing issues and discussions.
Problem Description
This input text area is too small. Even if the size can change as you input more and more characters, but:
Display is large, so have to move mouse a long distance to activate the input area;
People tend to think if the input text area is enough to hold my input, burden to some people;
When we copy a paragraph (text or code), we know each line's position. But when we paste in the input area, the input text area changes its size suddenly, it's not that good to help confirm if data copied as expected.
As you input long text, the size changes again and again, its animation is good, but leave more blank area to help focus on the text input maybe better?
Desired Solution you'd like
Maybe we could do like this:
allow user select the initial input text area size (rows?)
like vim, allow reserve serveral lines after the input cursor
