Summary

The scroll-to-bottom button in MessageInput.svelte (shown when the user scrolls up from the latest message) contained only an inline SVG arrow icon with no accessible name. Screen readers announced it as an unlabelled button.

Changes:

  • Added aria-label={$i18n.t('Scroll to bottom')} to the button element
  • Added aria-hidden="true" to the decorative SVG so it is not double-announced

Addresses WCAG 2.1 SC 4.1.2 (Name, Role, Value).

Changes

  • src/lib/components/chat/MessageInput.svelte

Test plan

  • Send several long messages to push the chat down, then scroll up — the scroll-to-bottom button appears
  • Navigate to it via keyboard/screen reader — it is announced as "Scroll to bottom"
  • Clicking/activating it scrolls to the latest message and the button disappears
