Description

  • Fixed an issue where the thread sidebar in channels (including DMs and Group Channels) remained open after its parent message was deleted. Modified channelEventHandler in Channel.svelte and Thread.svelte to automatically close the sidebar when the corresponding parent message is removed.

  • Orphaned thread sidebar remaining open after parent message deletion.

Test 1:

  1. Open a Channel or DM.
  2. Send a message "Test".
  3. 'Reply in Thread' to "Test" to open the thread sidebar.
  4. Delete the "Test" message from the main channel.
  5. Observed: The thread sidebar immediately closed.
  6. Verified: No orphan messages can be sent.

Test 2:

  1. Open a Channel or DM.
  2. Send a message "Test".
  3. 'Reply in Thread' to "Test" to open the thread sidebar.
  4. Delete the "Test" message from the thread.
  5. Observed: The thread sidebar immediately closed.
  6. Verified: No orphan messages can be sent.
