Bug Report

Installation Method

docker pull ghcr.io/open-webui/open-webui:main

Environment

  • Open WebUI Version: v0.5.14

  • Operating System: macOS 15.3.1

  • Browser (if applicable): Chrome 133.0.6943.99

Expected Behavior:

I enter my user and password, log into Open WebUI, the splash screen showing the new version appears. I should be able to dismiss it and start using the app.

Actual Behavior:

The splash screen (pop up) cannot be dismissed via the usual methods. The button at the bottom, the X button at the top - no luck.

The only way it could be dismissed is if you're quick and click the confetti at the top-left. For whatever reason, clicking the confetti will dismiss it. But that visual disappears quickly, so sometimes I need to close the tab and try again. Pretty annoying.

I believe it only happens on macOS. I also use Windows 11 and Ubuntu 24.04 and have not seen this issue. But I am not 100% sure about this part.

It also used to happen with v0.5.12
