Bug Report

Installation Method

Podman Installation on CentOS 9

Environment

  • Open WebUI Version: v0.4.8

  • Ollama (if applicable): N/A

  • Operating System: Server: CentOS Stream 9, Client Fedora 40

  • Browser (if applicable): Google Chrome 131.0.6778.108 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Confirmation:

  • [+] I have read and followed all the instructions provided in the README.md.
  • [+] I am on the latest version of both Open WebUI and Ollama.
  • I have included the browser console logs.
  • I have included the Docker container logs.
  • I have provided the exact steps to reproduce the bug in the "Steps to Reproduce" section below.

Expected Behavior:

Success/Failure messages should last at least 3 seconds, preferably closer to 5 or so.

Actual Behavior:

Success/Failure dialog messages fade in a second or less.

Description

Bug Summary:
I haven't noticed this on other settings, but every time I save settings in the Admin Panel, the interstitial pop-ups disappear way too quickly for me to see them on higher screen resolutions.

Reproduction Details

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Change a setting on an Admin Panel page.
  2. Click "Save" where applicable
  3. Success/Failure interstitial pops up in green/red, then disappears before the eye can lock on and read the message, usually on higher resolution screens.

Logs and Screenshots

Browser Console Logs:
N/A

Docker Container Logs:
N/A

Screenshots/Screen Recordings (if applicable):
N/A

Additional Information

Users with higher resolution displays may have a hard time training their attention on the Success(or, more importantly failure) messages when saving admin panel options. On my workstation, for example, I am using 27" 4K monitors at full resolution and no zoom. When I save settings, my gaze doesn't make it to the location on the screen where the interstitials appear with enough time to really read and comprehend the messages. On my laptop with a 15" screen at 1080p, this is not really an issue.
