Changelog Entry

Description

Introduces a "Keep in Sidebar" / "Hide from Sidebar" option to the model action menus in both the Workspace Models page and the Admin Settings Models page. This allows users and administrators to manage sidebar visibility directly from the management interfaces. Additionally, the feature refines the application-wide icon usage for sidebar pinning, moving from Eye icons to Pin icons to avoid confusion with model visibility (Hide Model / Show Model) settings.

Added

  • pinModelHandler to src/lib/components/workspace/Models.svelte and src/lib/components/admin/Settings/Models.svelte.
  • Sidebar toggle menu item to ModelMenu.svelte in both workspace and admin components.
  • Persistent state management via updateUserSettings.

Changed

  • Updated ModelItemMenu.svelte (chat model selector) and both ModelMenu.svelte components to use Pin/PinSlash icons for sidebar actions instead of Eye/EyeSlash.

Fixed

  • UX semantic conflict where "Hide Model" and "Hide from Sidebar" both used Eye icons, causing confusion.

Additional Information

  • This enhancement improves discoverability of sidebar management and provides a more intuitive experience by using pinning metaphors for sidebar placement.
  • This PR has been manually tested and it would address a feature request of my own.

This stayed the same

Semantic Clarity with Pin Icons:
The new implementation uses a Pin icon for sidebar actions, keeping them distinct from the "Hide Model" eye icon.
