Changelog Entry

Description

  • Added support to define multiple web-socket related configurations to enable debug logging and additional configurations that differ from the default relating to ping frequency and timeout and arbitrary Redis connection options.

Added

  • WEBSOCKET_REDIS_OPTIONS - The ability to define arbitrary Redis connection options via JSON like max_connections
  • WEBSOCKET_SERVER_PING_TIMEOUT - The ability to define the timeout for the application while pinging Redis to ensure it is still available in seconds. -- 30s by default.
  • WEBSOCKET_SERVER_PING_INTERVAL - The ability to define the frequency the application pings Redis to ensure it is still available in seconds. -- 20s by default.
  • WEBSOCKET_SERVER_LOGGING - Enables logging for SocketIO. This is false by default. This is very verbose and should only be used for debugging issues.
  • WEBSOCKET_SERVER_ENGINEIO_LOGGING - Enables logging for EngineIO. This is false by default. This is very verbose and should only be used for debugging issues.
