Check Existing Issues

  • I have searched the existing issues and discussions.
    • Reasoning: Frankly, I don't think there's a pre-existing issue for "hitting Issue #15000," and if there was, we'd need to merge it with this one, which would be meta-ception. This is a unique, one-of-a-kind, never-before-seen "problem"!

Problem Description

We've arrived at a magnificent, almost unbelievable, milestone: This is Open WebUI Issue #15000!

The "problem" is that we've reached a point where the sheer volume of community engagement, incredible contributions, valuable feedback, and occasional (and important!) bug reports has led us to this glorious, high-numbered issue. It's a "problem" of success, growth, and an overwhelmingly active community. How do we even handle such a momentous occasion?!

Desired Solution you'd like

The ultimate resolution for this "issue" is to simply keep it open as a monument.

Specifically, I propose the following "solutions":

  • Virtual Confetti & High-Fives: Let's collectively throw some virtual confetti for the project, the maintainers, the contributors, and every single user who has made Open WebUI what it is.
  • A Moment of Reflection: Let's take a moment to appreciate how far Open WebUI has come, the incredible pace of development, and the vibrant ecosystem that has formed around it.
  • Continued Awesome-ness: The best "fix" for this "problem" is for Open WebUI to continue its fantastic trajectory, innovate, and keep serving its users with excellence.
  • Community Shout-out: A big, heartfelt thank you to everyone who has opened an issue, submitted a PR, offered a suggestion, or simply used and loved Open WebUI. You are the reason for this milestone!

Alternatives Considered

  • Closing this issue immediately: Perish the thought! This is a historical marker, not a bug that needs squashing. It deserves its moment in the sun (or, in this case, its open status on GitHub).
  • Pretending it didn't happen: Unthinkable! This is a cause for celebration, not quiet dismissal.
  • Filing a traditional bug report: While that's usually the norm, this isn't a technical bug. It's a feature of collective effort and growth!
  • Not celebrating: Absolutely not an option. We must celebrate this achievement!

Additional Context

From humble beginnings to 15,000 issues – this is a true testament to the dedication of the core team, the amazing open-source contributors, and the passionate user base. Every issue, every pull request, every star, every comment, and every user interaction contributes to this remarkable journey.

Here's to the next 15,000 issues, and beyond! May they be filled with even more innovation, stability, and community spirit.

Thank you, Open WebUI community! You rock! 🚀🌟🥳

@Chaots commented on GitHub (Jun 15, 2025):

Congratulations on this milestone!

While some may say, it is bad that there are "So Many" issues, I think the fact that there are so many of them, only says a thing about how well the people working on the project do their work well. In my view the community does report because they feel it has meaning to report problems instead of just searching some webpages for a workaround of fix and not bother even mentioning it.

To everyone that has reported, directly, indirectly, and even more to the people reading responding and fixing those problems Thank you and another one for good measure.

A happy user of Open WebUI.
