Confirmation

  • I have read and followed all instructions in README.md.
  • I am using the latest version of both Open WebUI and Ollama.
  • I have included the browser console logs.
  • I have included the Docker container logs.
  • I have listed steps to reproduce the bug in detail.

Expected Behavior

to be able to communicate to MCPO proxy lives in different container

Actual Behavior

Using tools, pod is failing to communicate to internal DNS of MCP server
Example
http://mcpo-time.ai.svc.cluster.local:8000

At least it did work on Admin panel tools (global)

But it didn't work on user level tools

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Login as a user
  2. Go to settings
  3. Go to tools
  4. Add any endpoints that actually has /openapi.json
  5. Test connection

Logs & Screenshots

nothing is showing in logs

Additional Information

Is it possible that I am mistakenly disabled tools on user level and allowed it only on admin ??

OR

Do I need to explicitly allow users to use tools ?
