Confirmation

  • I have read and followed all instructions in README.md.
  • I am using the latest version of both Open WebUI and Ollama.
  • I have included the browser console logs.
  • I have included the Docker container logs.
  • I have listed steps to reproduce the bug in detail.

Expected Behavior

when uploading a file using the + button in UI, files should be uploaded, or there should be an error message either in UI or in console

Actual Behavior

Open WebUI quits in console without any error message

Steps to Reproduce

  1. activate py311 environment in Anaconda Prompt
  2. run "open-webui serve"
  3. open http://localhost:8080/ in Firefox
  4. click + button to upload the attached file (it seems that uploading other files larger than a certain size would also trigger the issue)
  5. wait until console finishes uploading the file
  6. console now quits to prompt
