The error appears because you did not select an item in the list properly. The message "Please select an item in the list" means that you must select one of the items available in the drop-down list.

Although there is nothing to click on within the menu.

Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
