Bug Report

The Web Search results in 400 Bad Request error in the log.

Bug Summary:
Whenever I initiate Web Search I see that 400 Bad Request error in the log. I have tried with multiple web search providers and the message comes up always. Sometimes I do not see any search result.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. I do not use Ollama. I use TogetherAI and OpenRouter APIs
  2. docker compose file for reference

  3. Configure a web search provider in Admin settings. I have tried with Brave, Tavily, DuckDuckGo and Google PSE
  4. Go to chat interface, select any of the model provided by TogetherAI/OpenRouter APIs
  5. Enable Web Search and type in the query and submit
  6. Observe the log for 400 Bad Request error and sometimes there will be no search results.

Expected Behavior:
I expect to see the response for my search query consistently.

Actual Behavior:
Many times I see 'No results' message in the chat interface.

Environment

  • Open WebUI Version: v0.3.10

  • Operating System: Windows 11

  • Browser (if applicable): Edge Latest

Confirmation:

  • I am on the latest version of both Open WebUI and Ollama.
  • I have included the browser console logs.
  • I have included the Docker container logs.
