  • Identify the expected and actual result at each stage,
  • Ensure any reasonably skilled user can follow and hit the same issue.

Expected Behavior

When a user selects a knowledge collection via the # command in the chat input and sends a message, the selected knowledge collection should remain attached to the chat after:

  • Switching to another chat and returning
  • Refreshing the browser (F5)
  • Restarting the browser

-> This worked correctly in v0.8.2 and earlier (probablly... as my memory).

Actual Behavior

After selecting a knowledge collection via # and sending a message, the selection is lost when switching chats or reloading the page. The knowledge collection no longer appears as attached to the chat.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open any existing chat (or create a new one)
  2. In the chat input, type # and select a knowledge collection from the suggestion list
  3. Send a message — the knowledge collection appears as attached
  4. Switch to a different chat, then return to the original chat, OR press F5 to reload the browser
  5. Result: The knowledge collection attachment is gone

Logs & Screenshots

No logs but easily to reproduce.
