Changelog Entry

Description

  • Resolved comprehensive N+1 query performance issues in access control validation by implementing batch user group fetching across the entire application

Changed

  • Modified all get_*_by_user_id methods in models layer to pre-fetch user group IDs
  • Implemented consistent user_group_ids parameter passing to has_access function
  • Reduced database query count from 1+N to 1+1 pattern for all access control operations
  • Added Groups import to all affected model files

Fixed

  • Fixed N+1 query problems causing excessive database load when validating user access to multiple resources
  • Enhanced scalability for users with access to many resources across different entity types
  • Reduced database connection overhead during comprehensive permission checks
  • Eliminated redundant group queries in both models and routers layers

Additional Information

  • Files affected:
    • Models layer: knowledge.py, models.py, notes.py, prompts.py, tools.py
  • Query optimization: Changed from 1 + N queries to 1 + 1 queries across all endpoints
  • Performance impact: Up to 99%+ reduction in database queries for users with multiple resource access
  • Scope: Comprehensive fix affecting all major entity types with access control
