I have searched for all existing open AND closed issues and discussions for similar requests. I have found none that is comparable to my request.
Verify Feature Scope
I have read through and understood the scope definition for feature requests in the Issues section. I believe my feature request meets the definition and belongs in the Issues section instead of the Discussions.
Problem Description
Thanks for adding the native tools in commit 646835d (time, chat). However, unlike other tools, these cannot be disabled. This causes issues when I want the model to rely solely on its training. It wastes thinking tokens deciding whether to use these tools instead of focusing on the actual prompt.
Desired Solution you'd like
Add a toggle or setting to disable native tools, consistent with how other tools can be enabled/disabled.
Alternatives Considered
