Description

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to contribute a PR to add model management and download functionality to Ollama UI. Before I start coding, I would like to seek feedback from the maintainers.

Proposed features:

  • Model list view (installed models with details)
  • Model download from Ollama library
  • Model deletion

Questions:

  1. Does this feature align with the project's roadmap?
  2. Any specific design requirements or preferences?
  3. Any technical considerations I should be aware of?

@hshahrokni2 The hybrid solution and Komilion you mentioned are indeed interesting ideas. However, my PR primarily focuses on enhancing Ollama's core functionality to make it more convenient for users to manage local models. If needed in the future, users can also configure and use other services based on your suggestions.

Do you have any specific suggestions regarding the technical implementation? For example, the display method of the model list, download progress indication, error handling, and other aspects.
