What is the issue?

Opening the settings menu (accessible through the left sidebar cogwheel button) leads to any unsent prompts in the text entry fields disappearing into the vast nothingness.

This is unexpected behaviour. For a significant number of commonly used apps that have a text-input field of sorts of comparable importance, the expected default is for text-entry fields such as those used for prompt entry to retain unsent prompts. The user is not expected to assume or infer the ephemerality of their text-entry fields.
