What is the issue?

I don't have adequate space on my primary HD on my Mac, so store Ollama models on an external drive. I have everything working well until Ollama updated to version 0.12.9. Now it does not see my models and I am unable to change the Model Location directory using Settings. It just ignores my selection and shows the default location. Attempts to set the OLLAMA_MODELS environment variable also fail.

Relevant log output

OS

GPU

CPU

Ollama version

#12883

I have the same issue, already opened a ticket but no feedback yet, this thing is serious, hope someone read these tickets.

This and suddens broken executions are now present bugs since version 0.12.7 henceforth.

Downgrading to 0.12.6 has solved the issue temporarily for me until someone fixes these.

Older versions are also available from the official release page, eg 0.12.6.
