Hi,

I'm calling Ollama to run some models. They are kept stored until I close and relaunch ollama. but each time I recall Ollama by a ollama run <MODEL>, the GUI windows opens on my mac (M series) and pops up

I would love a "-q --quiet" option that makes it less intrusive.

What version of the client are you using? If it's an older version, that could explain the behavior. The latest client should start the desktop app without opening the UI.

Are you sure about that? If I run Ollama now (latest client), it immediately opens the UI. I was actually hoping for a setting to disable that behavior, as I mostly just interact with Ollama via API calls.

It also always shows an icon in the dock now, which it never did before. Even with the UI closed.

I'm on macos Sequoia 15.6 (24G84) on an M2. ollama version is 0.11.4
