Best open source models like glm5, Kimi and minimax are available on Ollama only as cloud usable version, can not be fetched or run on local machine via ollama. Support for local model files is requested.

Thanks for your request!

Ollama primarily supports models that have been explicitly converted and optimized for the platform. For GLM, Kimi, and MiniMax models:

  1. Check if a GGUF/GGML version exists - Some community members have converted these models
  2. Use LM Studio - It supports a wider range of models including GLM
  3. Request officially supported models - You can submit a feature request on the Ollama GitHub

For now, you can try finding community-made GGUF versions of these models on Hugging Face.
