it has a great gui so every one can handle it ;)

btw where is downlaoded the model?

ollama is opensource,you can use it as a local llm server.There are many GUI available in the market. If you want, you can also create one with the same functionality as lmstudio, or even more features.

Ollama is an open-source project with a permissive license that aims to make the runtime and distribution ML models simple. Our goal is to make it easy to use for individuals while also allowing people to build on top of the API.

LMStudio is a user-friendly interface for downloading and interacting with language models, mostly focused on chat.

So which project is right for you depends on your use-case, there are some similar projects to LMStudio built on Ollama.
