Mermaid.js allows you to include fontawesome icons in their diagrams. It would be nice to have that feature within gitea too! I'm not sure whether the absence of it is by intention or not.

Well as far as I have seen, Gitea rather tries to get rid of FontAwesome, see for example #15952.
This means that
a) its absence is by intention.
b) this feature will most likely not be implemented.
