The feature gained some support in the issue #2445. Also in https://discourse.gitea.io/t/using-pre-existing-local-bare-repositories/222 the suggested recipe includes creating the repositories through the web interface manually. Is it really impossible to automate that?

@axil There's the push-to-create repository feature. Maybe you can script something on the client side to add Gitea as a remote and push?
