Originally created by @kolaente on GitHub (Mar 17, 2017).
As of #1121, i'll open a new thread to discuss my draft.
@Fastidious commented on GitHub (Mar 18, 2017):
Excellent job! It is simple, refined, and it matches the name. Love it!
Small notes
@hughesjs commented on GitHub (Mar 20, 2017):
I must say I like this... A lot.
As an extension to this, it would be nice to be able to define custom logos.
@lunny commented on GitHub (Mar 20, 2017):
Custom Logo is already supported. See https://docs.gitea.io about
Customizing Gitea@hughesjs commented on GitHub (Mar 20, 2017):
lunny, all I can see under that section is the avatar not the actual gitea branding
@andreynering commented on GitHub (Mar 20, 2017):
I think I like this more than https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/issues/1260, but both are good.
Maybe the cup and the tag should be squares instead of rectangles. Otherwise the logo may not fit well in the favicon or in the Gitea navbar.
@silverwind commented on GitHub (Mar 20, 2017):
The smaller versions look too similar to the git logo imho:
@Fastidious commented on GitHub (Mar 20, 2017):
@silverwind it is intended. It is about an application which sole existence revolves around git. I see absolutely no issue with it.
@kolaente commented on GitHub (Mar 20, 2017):
@Fastidious @silverwind we wouldn't get any liscening problems with it at git is also an open-source project, wouldn't we?
But to be sure, we maybe should change the color to green, also because green is somehow more of a "gitea-color"
@hughesjs commented on GitHub (Mar 20, 2017):
I definitely prefer this to #1260, if it's of any importance I just held a snap poll and my office is split 12/4 in favour of this one ;p
@silverwind commented on GitHub (Mar 20, 2017):
Well, I'd prefer a different color at least. like the green ones in https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/issues/1260.
I'm not sure I like the logo here. The big one is a bit too complex for my taste, and the smaller ones aren't square which can be an issue.
@kolaente commented on GitHub (Mar 20, 2017):
I've changed the colour to green, also darkened the colour of the cup a bit and shortened the teabag rope. I think it is better recognizable with the green colour (so you won't think it is "the" git).
@lunny commented on GitHub (Mar 21, 2017):
I like the green one.
@sailfish009 commented on GitHub (Mar 21, 2017):
me, too. green!
@appleboy commented on GitHub (Mar 21, 2017):
green + 1
@go2sh commented on GitHub (Mar 21, 2017):
Very nice. Great work!
@lcges commented on GitHub (Mar 21, 2017):
The favicon is barely visible, too much detail.
@kolaente commented on GitHub (Mar 21, 2017):
@qdbdbp Yes, i'd agree with that. But i think the favicon would be recognizable as the one of Gitea by the coulour and the white kinda-thing (-> the git icon). It's the same with the gitlogo.

(Gitlogo for comparison)
@kolaente commented on GitHub (Mar 21, 2017):
I've made a quick test for the favicon and decided to shorten the rope even more.
First Try:

Final Result:

@Fastidious commented on GitHub (Mar 21, 2017):
Small icon still looks odd, and rather out of place.
@kolaente commented on GitHub (Mar 21, 2017):
Removed the rope completly:

@lunny commented on GitHub (Mar 22, 2017):
But in fact, maybe this cup is not a traditional tea cup. But the original cup is. At least in China.
@kolaente commented on GitHub (Mar 29, 2017):
It is'nt a traditional tea cup here in europe either, but is that an issue?
I could change it though, but it'd probably look more like #1260
@lofidevops commented on GitHub (Apr 4, 2017):
I'd love to see a cup-of-tea variant of this (rather than a mug-of-tea).
@lcges commented on GitHub (Apr 4, 2017):
@kwill look a this one: https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/issues/1260
@jhasse commented on GitHub (Apr 6, 2017):
Do the two tea bags have the same aspect ratio? Looks like they don't, which is kind of strange to me.
@sapk commented on GitHub (Apr 6, 2017):
I am kind of waiting for a gopher to pop out from the tea cup or just relaxing in hot water on one side ☺️
@lunny commented on GitHub (Apr 19, 2017):
Please go to #1516 to vote.
@UndarkAido commented on GitHub (Jun 16, 2017):
Is there a place I can download this?
