Excellent job! It is simple, refined, and it matches the name. Love it!

Small notes

  • On the main logo, I would place the hanging tag, so the same space is on both sides. Right now the left is slightly bigger than the right. I illustrate:

  • The hanging thread should be in the centre of tag the circle.

I must say I like this... A lot.
As an extension to this, it would be nice to be able to define custom logos.

I think I like this more than https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/issues/1260, but both are good.

Maybe the cup and the tag should be squares instead of rectangles. Otherwise the logo may not fit well in the favicon or in the Gitea navbar.

The smaller versions look too similar to the git logo imho:

@silverwind it is intended. It is about an application which sole existence revolves around git. I see absolutely no issue with it.

@Fastidious @silverwind we wouldn't get any liscening problems with it at git is also an open-source project, wouldn't we?
But to be sure, we maybe should change the color to green, also because green is somehow more of a "gitea-color"

I definitely prefer this to #1260, if it's of any importance I just held a snap poll and my office is split 12/4 in favour of this one ;p

Well, I'd prefer a different color at least. like the green ones in https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/issues/1260.

I'm not sure I like the logo here. The big one is a bit too complex for my taste, and the smaller ones aren't square which can be an issue.

I've changed the colour to green, also darkened the colour of the cup a bit and shortened the teabag rope. I think it is better recognizable with the green colour (so you won't think it is "the" git).

@qdbdbp Yes, i'd agree with that. But i think the favicon would be recognizable as the one of Gitea by the coulour and the white kinda-thing (-> the git icon). It's the same with the gitlogo.

I've made a quick test for the favicon and decided to shorten the rope even more.

But in fact, maybe this cup is not a traditional tea cup. But the original cup is. At least in China.

It is'nt a traditional tea cup here in europe either, but is that an issue?

I could change it though, but it'd probably look more like #1260

Do the two tea bags have the same aspect ratio? Looks like they don't, which is kind of strange to me.

I am kind of waiting for a gopher to pop out from the tea cup or just relaxing in hot water on one side ☺️
