Description

Discourse has SSO feature and can work as SSO provider https://meta.discourse.org/t/using-discourse-as-a-sso-provider/32974.

As most of self hosted platform like gitea are accompanied by discourse as discussion platform, it will be good if users has to sign up in one platform only and then use 1st as external login provider for other.

It seems you could use a proxy https://github.com/discourse/discourse-auth-proxy work with gitea since gitea support proxy auth.

I'm also quite interested in a Discoure sso providing feature.
I had tried the proxy that you mentioned, but never managed to make things work in the environment in which my Discourse and Gitea are deployed...
