Description

When mirroring a github repo in gitea (the one causing problem is https://github.com/conan-io/conan-center-index), I noticed the following problems:

  • the commit graph is unusable, because it shows all the automatic merge of target branch to source branch for PRs existing in the upstream github:

  • these merge commit also clutter the database (in spite of https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/issues/27961). This can be seen directly in the action table in database:

It also completely prevents the home page of gitea to load. I get an error 504 by the reverse proxy after 1 minute, and this shows up in the log: 2025/01/10 09:44:30 ...ers/web/user/home.go:129:Dashboard() [E] GetFeeds: FindAndCount: context canceled.

Is there a way to completely avoid mirroring these commits?

Reference.IsPull checks that it starts with refs/pull/. Could it be that the additionnal refs/heads confuses gitea and makes it think it's not a PR ? By the way, refs/heads/refs/pull/26322/merge does not exist, refs/pull/26322/merge does
