Is it a normal behavior when i resync the issue's are imported again to the last sync? Everytime i sync the issue's are imported again.

Need to clarify a few things:

I tried all 3 ways now ... sync, re-run Metadata and automatic sync. All three do the same.
This log is from the last auto sync. This mirrored repository has 34 open issues. i have now nearly 100 open issue on the mirror

Hey! This should be fixed in #266. The issue was that the metadata state guard was missing for issues and PRs — so every sync re-mirrored everything instead of skipping what was already done. Labels and milestones had the guard, but issues/PRs didn't.
You can test with the PR image:
ghcr.io/raylabshq/gitea-mirror:pr-266. You'll also want to use "Re-run Metadata" first to reset the state for repos that already have duplicates.@Just4Link commented on GitHub (Apr 13, 2026):
Seems not to fix the issue. The re-run metadata did actually not clean up, so i deleted the mirrored repository and reimported it. After that i done a sync and there are doubles again.

Hey @Just4Link — I just tested the fix locally end-to-end against a real Gitea instance. Here's what I found:
The fix itself works correctly for fresh mirrors. I ran 10+ sync cycles against a test repo (2 issues + 3 PRs) on the PR branch — the count stayed at exactly 5 every time, with the log correctly showing
Issues already mirrored ... skipping to avoid duplicates.Re-reading your 2026-04-13 log carefully:
8288662d), start-to-finish 06:52:07 → 06:53:10.Mirroring 355 issuesfires once, not multiple times.Found 1 interrupted jobslines you're seeing are from the UI polling/api/health— they only report state, they don't trigger a second sync run. (I traced the code path to confirm.)So those 355 issues got mirrored once in that run, with
[GH-ISSUE #N]markers, and subsequent syncs should PATCH them in place rather than duplicate.Most likely explanation for the ~100 open issues you see: pre-existing residue from before the fix was applied. If older gitea-mirror runs created issues without the
[GH-ISSUE #N]marker, the title-fallback matcher ingitea.tscan't reliably dedupe them anymore, so they accumulate. The new fix can't retroactively clean that up.Could you try a truly clean slate on the new v3.15.1 release?

Thanks for your investigation, it seems actually fixed. I deleted the repository in gitea, re-run metadata -> failed, then delete it from gitea-mirror, import it again, mirrored and then try several syncs. It now import no doubles anymore.
The mentioned not closing issues i have observed too. Thanks for the information your are already into it.
