Currently, the figures in the repository lack descriptive alt text, which is essential for accessibility and inclusive documentation.

Request:

  • Audit all figures and images in the repository.
  • Add meaningful alt text to each figure to ensure compatibility with screen readers and to improve accessibility for visually impaired users.

Benefits:

  • Enhances usability and compliance with accessibility standards.
  • Improves overall quality of the documentation.

Closing — alt text has been systematically added to figures across both volumes as part of the editorial workflow. The book now follows a consistent alt-text standard (≤250 chars, objective descriptions). Any remaining gaps will be caught in the ongoing editorial passes.
