When trying to access any of the slides for Ch. 2.11 Resources, access is denied because "The organization that owns this item doesn't allow you to access it".
@profvjreddi commented on GitHub (Jun 1, 2025):
Thank you for informing me, @JohnnyGarcia01. I have a quick question for you. Instead of having the slides spread across different chapters, I am considering creating a single page where all the slides are listed together.
Please keep in mind that these slides were originally made when I was teaching a course focused on tiny systems. However, since then, the book has evolved to cover machine learning systems in a more generalized manner. I’ve realized that whether we are discussing tiny systems or larger ones, the fundamental principles of machine learning systems remain largely the same from a first-principles perspective. In a more advanced book on machine learning systems, I plan to delve deeper into the technical details.
With that said, I wanted to ask how you have been using the slides. Would it be effective to remove them from the individual chapters and create just one link instead? Please let me know your thoughts on this, as I want to ensure that any changes I make are beneficial and not counterproductive.
@JohnnyGarcia01 commented on GitHub (Jul 11, 2025):
Hello Professor Reddi, sorry for the late response!
I was trying to access the relevant slides for two reasons: 1) to see if they offered more information on specific topics that I found challenging to understand, and 2) to determine if they covered any additional topics not discussed in the chapter.
Including all the slides on a single page would be more organized, in case a reader wants to look for them and can't remember which section they're in.
However, it would also be helpful to reference the name of the slides at the end of a chapter, which might help the reader better understand the topics introduced in that chapter. By including the name of the slides, the reader will know that those slides exist and can be helpful in that specific chapter.
Please let me know if you would like me to elaborate more.

Hi @JohnnyGarcia01 -- Thank you for the thoughtful message. I completely agree with your points, and it has been on my mind, just haven't got around to it 😓 In the meantime, here’s the link to the TinyMLx slides: https://github.com/tinyMLx/courseware/tree/master/edX
We’ll work on making the slide references more accessible and better integrated with the chapters, both via a centralized index and chapter-level mentions as you suggested. Your input is super helpful. 🙏
Let me know if you have any more suggestions!
Best,
