In the pdf version the references to the images, when they appear on the left pages, have neither a reference nor a caption.
See, for example, the images in "14.5.4 Side-Channel Attacks"

Wow! Thanks for catching this 🤯 The PDF build has given me a lot of grievances; I should hire an expert to do this build but so hard to find someone comfortable with Quarto and Latex etc. :)
