i don't know why this can happen even though the internet is smooth without any problems. maybe dns, vpn and proxy affect it. or, maybe the server refuses me to download a song or video. so please help me to fix it
@wukko commented on GitHub (Mar 15, 2025):
hey, are you from indonesia by any chance? we got some other reports from there, but can't figure out what's causing this issue
@mts1234a commented on GitHub (Mar 15, 2025):
yes, malay is the same. i've explained earlier, so the problem is maybe is the dns, vpn and proxy i used. or maybe in my country it is not allowed or something?
here i also explain, actually this github account is a public account, maybe the person who replies is different even though it is the same account.
@wukko commented on GitHub (Mar 15, 2025):
can you try turning off the vpn/proxy? does it work then?
@mts1234a commented on GitHub (Mar 15, 2025):
i don't use a vpn or proxy, i only use cloudfare dns, but even though i remove the dns from the router and my phone still doesn't work. i also don't know how it will be in the future, hopefully it will be better. because the first time i tried it, it was normal without any problems...
@wukko commented on GitHub (Mar 15, 2025):
cloudflare dns shouldn't cause any issues, can you try a different device or browser? (not opera gx, it's very funky)
@mts1234a commented on GitHub (Mar 15, 2025):
I tried google chrome or something else like opera but it's still the same, doesn't work. the photo below is from chrome. and the photo on top is from opera
@wukko commented on GitHub (Mar 16, 2025):
do you have anything enabled in settings -> instances (https://cobalt.tools/settings/instances#community) ?
@Imadox commented on GitHub (Mar 17, 2025):
To fix that I removed SSL Inspection from api.cobalt.tools
@wukko commented on GitHub (Mar 17, 2025):
well maybe don’t do that if you don’t know what you’re doing
@VannesaOrchid commented on GitHub (Mar 18, 2025):
I also have this problem, I'm from Indonesia. I realised the spinner thing doesn't appear when I paste my link anymore
@10x7 commented on GitHub (Mar 19, 2025):
It seems like it's affecting regions (probably asia since indo and currently malay as shown above are affected), or it might be affecting only mobile platforms.
I'm also facing the same problem here but when i use cobalt on an different platform (Laptop/Desktop/PC) It works..??, tried using warp (1.1.1.1) on mobile or other dns, no effect, other browsers no effect, I have no idea what's going on.
... heres a temporary solution for you (dunno if it works for anyone)
note: while i was writing this i realised there's just one thing i haven't tried, which is the Desktop Site feature, to my suprise when i enabled it and tried again, it works like a charm!! gosh why do i found a fix so late
@VannesaOrchid commented on GitHub (Mar 19, 2025):
The desktop feature actually works, thanks!
@wukko commented on GitHub (Mar 19, 2025):
can everyone in this issue try using cobalt.tools in regular mode again to see if it works now?
@VannesaOrchid commented on GitHub (Mar 19, 2025):
Oh yeah it actually does work, thanks for telling
@10x7 commented on GitHub (Mar 19, 2025):
vouch, works normally again ❤️🔥
