describe the feature you'd like to see

  • Put update-banners files in separate repo
    • When cloning this repo, the contributor has to download all these large files. On a slow network connection, this makes downloading the repo take awhile. It would be great if we could put them in a separate repo and use it as a submodule.

On a slow network connection

what do you mean by 'slow network connection'? 1 Mb/s, 8 Mb/s, 0.1 Mb/s?

More on the side of 0.1MB/s, eg. cellular modem.
