bug description

Cobalt truncates videos even after downloading multiple times, even after trying with hls enabled and even trying on different devices and different videos.

reproduction steps

  1. Paste the link
  2. Download
  3. Wait for download
  4. See that the video is truncated.

iPad (13-inch, 4th gen) running iPadOS 18.3 Beta with Safari, 2024 M3 13-inch MacBook Air running MacOS 15.3 Sequoia Beta with Safari, and Windows 24H2 running Opera GX

Before you reply here asking me to enable hls, I'VE DONE THAT ALREADY.

Ah, sorry, I thought those were referring the cobalt site as whole. My bad.

As for links i was downloading a specific hurricane animation series, those being 1981 and 1982, I downloaded the previous two years fine (though the same issue arised, i fixed that quite easily, now its just not working entirely)

I'll try redownloading and close if i managed to fix it (highly unlikely but i will)
edit: unfortunately, no luck

both of these fully download on default settings

It seems like something screws up when it gets to a certain point

cobalt itself isn’t screwing anything up. videos get cut off early due to youtube either blocking or intentionally breaking streams at random points. cobalt catches these errors and stops the stream.
