Describe the solution you'd like

This is a bit out there, but support for Biscuit Tokens could unlock many usage patterns. Fly.io has some great blog posts about their usage of Macaroons for their services, and Biscuits are an evolution of the same pattern (as they note themselves). Biscuits have also recently received endorsement by the Eclipse Foundation.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Since Biscuits v3 has added support for third-party caveats, I don't think macaroons have any spec advantage over Biscuits currently.
