Is this suited for github?

  • Yes, this is suited for github

Currently, better-auth stores username in the email column because it wasn't possible to retrieve it in the v2 auth.

Describe the solution you'd like

As of a few days ago, the email can now be obtained: https://devcommunity.x.com/t/announcing-support-for-email-address-retrieval-with-oauth-2-0-in-the-x-api-v2/240555/3

Describe alternatives you've considered

Not sure if a fallback to username might still be needed in case the user doesn't make their email public?

Additional context
